Memes are cryptic cultural statements and images that, these days, fly around the internet being replicated but not duplicated. There is continuous alteration even inversion. Black can become white and truth can become false. There is no attempt at accuracy as it replicates.
This piece arises from my technology background and my early adoption of all forms of social media. The repeated pattern and the different ink overlays represent the human overload and stress from the constant bombardment of data and information (memes)

My Artist journey started as an outlet from the computer industry in 1990. It started with stained glass during the long winter evenings in Edmonton Alberta with another friend that had taken up stained glass. I started with a design from Carolyn Kyle Inside the Secret Garden — taking approximately 2 years of evenings here and there over the long winter months. This piece hangs in my house today. Over the years, I have done many more stained glass pieces and taken up fused glass, jewellery making, vessel sinks and lamp shades.
My painting journey includes Alcohol Inks, Oils, and most recently Acrylics. I have always loved trying new things, especially if color is involved and how I can use it to express how I see color, objects, or my world.
I believe that ART – Glass, Photography, paintings, etc, should reflect the person receiving / purchasing the art work, thus I think each piece should be for “them”. Art should be enjoyed as functional or beautiful to look at. Each person in this world is unique and I feel art is the same. Each piece should have a story that goes with it and an owner.
A good portion of my work is on the website, some is available for sale as an original or as a print in any size you like. Please contact me for custom orders, additional questions or prints.
