Cyanotype printing

For a while now I have been doing eco-printing – which is printing with the leaves and flowers of the plant.

I always had branches left behind, I tired to eco-print them but there is not enough tannins in the branches to make a print. I came across cyanotype (for old time photographers in this group, it is part of dark room development process) these days is now being used for art.

I did few test prints last week with leaves and flowers, loved the results.

This one is with branches – happy to be able to incorporate into a different form of printing – likely will be turned in to a book cover, maybe a greeting card… times till tell… I love the results from small branches in the yard after spring cleanup.  This one is 9×12.
